Ford's industry-first factory-option LED strobe warning light kit has already been offered on the 2016 F-Series Super Duty. Now, Ford is also opening the option to new F-150 fleet customers.

The flashing amber-lens LEDs were designed with utility, municipal, or construction crews in mind, to alert passing motorists of the presence of workers near the road.

The 2017 Ford Fusion, arriving in Levittown this spring, will be the first of the Ford lineup to offer adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability.

What does this mean?

It means stop-and-go traffic is about to get a lot easier on your ankles.

Normally -- before it became the future -- you set your cruise control and the car goes one speed. If traffic slows down, you have to tap the brakes. If traffic is continually slowing and speeding, and stopping and starting, as traffic is wont to do, then you can pretty much forget about cruise control.

Ford is investing $4.5 billion in electric cars, with the expectation that the plug-in hybrid will be the best-selling segment.

What's so special about a plug-in? Just compare the Ford C-Max Hybrid with the plug-in C-Max Energi.

Both get excellent fuel economy, offer 188 combined horsepower, and can reach 85 miles per hour on electricity alone.
