What is Hydroplaning and When is it Most Likely to Occur?
Hydroplaning is a tire manufacturers term that has grown to become common use by drivers and tire mechanics alike. Hydroplaning is the action of fluid elevating the tire from the surface of the road. Hydroplaning causes the car to lose grip with the road and therefore lose the sense of direction that the driver provides through the steering system.
Though the action of hydroplaning can occur at any time when fluids are on the road, the most danger centers around the first rain after a dry spell.
