Levittown Ford Supports Area Schools

As Ford dealers, our day-to-day is filled with new and used Ford cars, helping customers find their ideal vehicle and providing our corner of New York with the auto repairs and Ford parts that they're looking for. Helping our customers find the car that perfectly fits their lifestyles, the part that they haven't been able to locate anywhere else, or the trained technician they need to whip their vehicle back into shape is what we live for here at our New York Ford dealership. It's enough to keep anyone's agenda full, but as a local business, we also take our involvement in the community quite seriously. After all, our customers are the lifeblood of our business, so it's very important to us here at Levittown Ford to always give back to the areas we serve.

For this reason, our Levittown Ford dealership has donated scholarship money to Levittown Public Schools. Specifically, our General Manager, Eric Rivera, gifted $1000 to assist MacArthur and Division Avenue High School students in their studies. We believe that every student deserves access to education, so we'll do what we can to help Levittown students achieve at their highest level.

Congratulations to the 2013/2014 recipients of the Scholarships, Alexandra Volpe and Thomas Deegan.  The process of choosing the recipients is not an easy task.  In his speech, Eric Rivera, General Manager of Levittown Ford imparts why these 2 young people stood out and were selected.

"LOYALTY.  RESPONSIBILITY.  INTEGRITY.  These are common words in our language…Common words …that we sometimes take for granted.

However, when a student truly exemplifies them, then it is OUR responsibility as a society to recognize and reward such a showing of personal achievement.  Its not every day that you meet a young person that strives to make the world a better place, both for themselves and for the people around them.  It is in these students that we place our hopes for the future …and when I look at students like Alexandra Volpeand Thomas Deegan…THAT future looks bright. 

In speaking with some of Alexandra's teachers and friends, I am reminded that she is the very reason why we created the LEVITTOWN FORD SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM.  She upholds the moral fiber that we should all strive to achieve.  She is the exact role model that her younger siblings can look to for guidance and support.  She effortlessly shows a leadership quality that her fellow students & teachers gravitate towards.

Like her fellow recipient… Thomas, who exemplifies a strength of character that is an inspiration to his teammates both on AND off the field.  A natural leader whose unwavering commitment to both Athletic and Academic achievements has put him on a clear path to success! The enthusiasm he brings to all of life's endeavors will surely be an asset to whatever he aspires to in the future.

And the Future is what is important to remember!  These students, both Alexandra and Thomas… Personify the spirit of a generation that has no limits.   A generation that is not hindered by anything but the confines of their dreams.  On behalf of myself and all of the other members of the Levittown Ford team, I would like to thank you for the sacrifices you've made in order to reach your goals.  This scholarship is proof that with sacrifice comes rewards…so never limit your ambitions.  Never stop striving to be better people, and NEVER forget that the example you set today will be what future generations use to gauge their own accomplishments in the future."

Of note is the Ford Warriors in Pink charity, which supports organizations like Act with Love™, The Pink Fund®, The Young Survival Coalition, Susan G. Komen®, and more.
